Activated in 1942 as part of the Tuskegee Airmen program, the 332nd fought two wars simultaneously: one against the Axis powers abroad and one against segregation and discrimination at home. They won both. Their legacy helped break open the integration of the U.S. military and stands as one of the most important chapters in American aviation history.
