Retreat, hell — we just got here. On June 6, 1918, the Marines of 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment drove the Germans from Hill 142 and fought through Belleau Wood for a month straight — crossing open wheat fields into machine gun fire and refusing to quit. For their actions at Belleau Wood, Soissons, and Blanc Mont, the 6th Marines were awarded the French Croix de Guerre three times, earning the right to wear the fourragère — one of only two units in the Marine Corps so honored. Devil Dogs since 1917. If you served with 1/6, this tee is yours.
