The 1st Battalion, 31st Field Artillery Regiment is a unit of the U.S. Army Field Artillery branch, originally constituted in 1916 and organized during World War I. The regiment served in France during World War I and later participated in World War II campaigns in Europe, providing artillery support to infantry formations. In the postwar period and through the Cold War to present, 1-31 FA has been stationed at installations including Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where it has conducted training and supported field artillery readiness.
