The Navy SEAL trident was established in 1970 and is awarded to those who have completed the necessary qualifications to become a SEAL. The insignia is made up of four symbols: a golden eagle, a flintlock-style pistol, a US Navy anchor, and a trident. The trident also known by the nicknames "Chicken on a Fork" and "The Budweiser". It is one of the most recognizable military badges of the United States Navy.
