The 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment (2-34 AR), known as the “Dreadnaughts,” is an armored battalion of the U.S. Army assigned to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. Equipped with M1A2 Abrams tanks, the battalion delivers decisive armored firepower and shock action in support of large-scale combat operations. From Cold War service in Europe to deployments in Iraq and other global missions, 2-34 AR continues to uphold the regiment’s legacy of aggressive maneuver and battlefield dominance.
