Ninth Cav T-Shirt

The U.S. Army’s 9th Cavalry Regiment was formed in 1866 as one of the original African American “Buffalo Soldier” regiments. The unit served on the western frontier, conducting patrols, escort missions, and campaigns during the Indian Wars. In the 20th century, elements of the regiment fought in the Philippine-American War, World War II, and later transitioned into armored and aviation roles. Since Vietnam, units carrying the 9th Cavalry lineage have supported major operations including Urgent Fury, Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Restore Hope, Balkan peacekeeping missions, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn. Today, its lineage continues in several active battalions assigned to modern cavalry and aviation formations across the U.S. Army.  We Can.  We Will.
