The “Blue Blasters” are Strike Fighter Squadron 34 (VFA-34), a U.S. Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet squadron based at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia. Originally established in 1946 as VA-34, the squadron transitioned through multiple aircraft and redesignations before becoming a strike fighter squadron in 1996. VFA-34 conducts carrier-based combat operations including air-to-air warfare, precision strike, close air support, and maritime security missions as part of Carrier Air Wing deployments.
